The successful execution of Shakti week led us to reintroduce it with more excitement, more events, more fun but the same commitment to bring the change in society.
It took place from 1st March to 8th March to honor the International Day for women.
Giving a perfect start to the Shakti week 2.0 various events such as social internship program for fundraising and different competitions including quiz competition, poetry writing, painting and essay writing competition were conducted in schools based on Women’s day 2023 theme, “Abhivyakti.”
We continued with our “Her story” series and “Samwad” series in which we got to hear the inspiring words of the many successful women who perfectly portray women empowerment like IAS Ira Singhal , IAS Sonal goel, Megha Parmar, founders of NUUT Job. Indeed, these sessions were nothing less than a whole treasure of knowledge!
Not only this but Self defense series, menstrual hygiene and awareness program were also conducted on a large scale. Sanitary pad banks were created, sanitary napkins were distributed to the underprivileged women and girls, various sessions and competitions were organized in different schools.
Taking a unique way to bring more awareness, our team did nukkad nataks. End period stigma (myths vs. facts), periods and sports, role of technology in menstrual heath, period poverty, teaching it in schools and universities were the budding topics which we tried to make people conscious about through our social media constantly.
Covering the nation from east to west, from north to south we succeeded in the successful implementation of Shakti week 2.0 and we were able to bring a positive change in many lives.
